ROTARY CLUB OF DELRAY BEACH
November 22, 2005
Looks like someone was too busy stuffing a turkey, or........stuffing too
much turkey, to write "The Ramblin's," before now! Life is good; we have so
much to be thankful for; hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as mine.
Since all the news is now old news, it will be short.
We were so pleased to have Rachel Pecaro back with us to sing; she is the
daughter of Sylvia Pecaro, our member. Rachel is growing into such a fine
young lady. She sang that she "enjoys being a girl." Rachel, you are such a
delight; please come again, soon.
The club was informed that one of our members, Anne Bright, was recently
honored as one of the "Women of Grace," sponsored by Bethesda Hospital. We
congratulate you, Anne, for all your good works.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 11:30 A.M., OLD SCHOOL SQUARE;
"SERVICE ABOVE SELF" Award Ceremony. Our recipient this year is Dr. Fred W. Love.
As most of you know, Dr. Love, a surgeon, has served this community well.
He has served at Bethesda Hospital for over thirty years; been on Public
Health Boards, Local Health Boards; Morikami Board; Delray Beach Playhouse, etc.
Our committee, consisting of Nancy Owens, Jim Pignato, and chaired by Ernie
Simon, has done another terrific job of selecting our honored recipient.
Please be reminded to gather on the front walk of OSS; meeting starts promptly
at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served in OSS Gym following the ceremony.
ANNOUNCEMENT: THIS COMING THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1, HOLIDAY PARTY! DELRAY
BEACH GOLF CLUB RESTAURANT; 6:00 P.M. PRICE: $50.00 PER PERSON. There will be
