<div>I open by announcing my utmost thanks to Sue Miller for doing The
Ramblings for us last week. Unless you do them for a week, you'll never
have the understanding of how many thanks we owe Ellie for her
sacrifice to do them on a regular basis. Thank you, Ellie & Sue.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>President David Armstrong presided over our meeting; Hack Allen
gave an inspiring invocation and gravel-voiced Kurt stood in for Jimmy
and Bruce Williams, both of whom we missed today.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Tom Stanley, in his youthful, yet suave manner, welcomed our
visitors today including Alan Cornblaugh, the new Executive Director at
the Library, who immediately was fed an application for membership and
our reliable visitor Shane Moore, from Fort Lauderdale. Next up was
Fred Bonardi with an upbeat stock report and then also an upbeat Sgt.
at Arms Report, bringing in $126 today with a Happy Birthday to Hack
Allen and two anniversaries, Jess Sowards, 12 years, and Georgina Rice,
who got the 1st year out of the way. Congrats, all.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Under announcements, President David welcomed back Anne Bright who
has been summering in Maine and also Sam Altdoerfer, then David gave a
brief report on the Backpack Project, which is being handled by Deb
Ferrell, Kay Johnson and Lyn Huckle. Sally Dye reported that all dues
have been paid and I'm sure she is relieved to say that.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Nick Loeb introduced our speaker for the day, Mr. David Eaton, who
is Chairman and CEO of The Eaton Group, a financial firm with offices
in New York City and Boca Raton. David gave us a wake up call to enjoy
and seek out our passions and to not get bogged down by just acquiring
wealth. He has written a book entitled "The Passion for Success" which
can be checked out at <a href="http://www.thepassionfund.com">www.thepassionfund.com</a>.
David was very enjoyable. Thank You, Nick. The Green Hat winner was Sam
Altdoerfer who kept the suspense rolling by pulling the 10 of hearts.
Proceeds are up over $700. We adjourned as always with the 4-Way Test.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Next week our speaker will be our own Dave Richards, sharing his
recent experiences in Honduras.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Respectfully submitted.</div>
