Time: 7:00 PM (Gates open at 6:00 PM)
Location: FAU Gymnasium
The Rotary Club of Boca
Raton Sunset proudly presents the Harlem Ambassadors. This will be an exciting night of basketball
fun for the whole family. The mission of the Harlem
Ambassadors is to deliver a quality basketball show to audiences throughout the United States and internationally. The show is designed to be fun for people of all ages,
with youngsters being awed for the first time and older folks enjoying the
tried-and-true gags like a rerun of a favorite comedy movie. The Ambassadors'
operation is professional in all aspects. In addition to having a wholesome
entertainment product, they are also good citizens, promoting the values of
staying in school, staying off drugs, and fostering racial harmony.
The
Ambassadors team will play against a team of locals from Boca Raton, FL,
The “Boca Rotarians.” The Rotary Club is
in charge of assembling the local team. Half of the team will consist of athletes who are looking for the
challenge of playing against professional players in a fast paced game of
basketball. The other half of the team
will be light hearted local business people, celebrities, and event
participants. The game will be broken up
into four quarters. The first and third
quarters will involve the serious players and will feature professional style
basketball. The second and fourth
quarters will feature the rest of the local team and will include gag plays and
goofball shots. After the game, the
Ambassadors will host an autograph session and will meet the fans. It will be a fun and entertaining night for
everyone.
